The Forum offer a range of in-house workshops on different aspects of policy engagement - from the very basics of UK Parliament to helping you draft your first policy briefing. Check out the lists below to see our latest scheduled training sessions.

Imperial Policy Forum Training Workshops

An interactive workshop on policy briefing, led by members of Imperial's policy engagement team, the Forum.

Policy briefings are short documents that summarise your research and make policy recommendations based on your findings. During the workshop our team of experts will teach you how to shape your research and findings into a format that policymakers like MPs and civil servants will be able to understand and more importantly - use.

Come prepared to talk about your own research and we'll show you how to start shaping it into a briefing.

These events are for Imperial staff and PhD students.

In these monthly two-part workshops, open to all Imperial staff and PhD students, you will learn about the policymaking process and the benefits of engaging with it. We will introduce you to the different ways to engage with Parliament and government, and equip you with the tools and confidence to carry out your own policy engagement. With guest speakers from the College every month that will share their own stories about working with policymakers, and hopefully inspire you to get involved!
