Summary of project:
In this project we propose a 3-dimensional formation of UAVs which is used in conjunction with array signal processing for localisation and trajectory tracking of moving targets. Employing array signal processing in UAV swarms has the potential to provide enhanced coverage and redundancy, asymptotically complete interference/jammer cancellation, superior link capacity (bits/sec/Hz) as well as multi-target detection and super-resolution capabilities. This technology will enable the defence to exploit swarms of UAVs towards applications such as target tracking missions, improved imagery for surveillance missions and establishing communication links for ad-hoc communication networks.
