AWDr Anqi Wang is currently an Assistant Professor in Chemistry at KAUST.  He received his BEng degree in Chemical Engineering and Technology at Zhejiang University (Hangzhou, China) in 2016, and received MSc in Advanced Chemical Engineering with Distinction in the Department of Chemical Engineering at Imperial College London. He was awarded the Department PhD scholarship and completed PhD research under the spervision of Dr Qilei Song in 2021. He stayed in the group for postdoc research from August 2021 to September 2024.  His PhD and Postdoc research was focused on the design and synthesis of polymers of intrinsic microporosity (PIMs) for battery energy storage, funded by the ERC Starting Grant and EPSRC Programme Grant SynHiSel.  From September 2024, Dr Wang has joined the KAUST as an Assistant Professor in Chemistry in the Physical Science and Engineering Division. He is an academic visitor in the group.
