Overview
This workshop is for prospective mentors and is designed to equip them with the knowledge, skills, and practical tools to build and sustain effective mentoring relationships. During the workshop, we will examine what mentoring is (and isn't), focus on each key phase of the mentoring relationship (beginning, middle, and ending), and familiarise ourselves with some practical tools to help facilitate the mentoring process.
Participants will also learn about the standards required of mentors operating within the Imperial mentoring scheme, how the matching process works, and the ongoing communication process in place to support mentors and mentees.
Eligibility
When you click/select the blue button on the right-hand side of this page, you will be asked to complete a short self-assessment form. If you fit the profile of an effective mentor, you will receive details on how to register for the mentoring scheme. You must successfully complete the Being a Mentor training programme before commencing any mentoring activity.
