Student Programme Partner: Cornerstone & Research Impact

My Research: I am passionate about water quality engineering and am interested in developing smartphone-based water quality measurement for citizen science.

Why I applied for this particular SPP role: Given that my PhD research focuses on smartphone application development and citizen science programs, participating in this program would present an excellent opportunity to leverage my experience as a PhD student in co-commissioning research impact programs and participating in the assessment of annual program reviews. I am eager to promote the integration of public engagement in scientific research and firmly believe in the significance of involving the public in the scientific process.

Why I think professional development training is important: Research is a two-way communication. One aspect of being a researcher is to transform outcomes from the laboratory into practical applications. Professional development training is a platform that will equip PhD students with the professional tools, enabling them to communicate their research with the world
