Student Programme Partner: Research Communication

My Research: I am using super-resolution ultrasound and functional MRI to image the breast tumour microenvironment following radiotherapy.

Why I applied for this particular SPP role: Communicating research effectively is a crucial skill for scientists to have, especially being able to tailor presentations and pieces of writing to different audiences. Our scientific work may be strong, but without efficacious delivery, the reach and impact of the research may be limited.

Why I think professional development training is important: Professional development training is essential, to refine skills that are needed to excel in our current work and future careers.
