My Research: My research focuses on the study of Deep Eutectic Solvents, promising candidates for use as sustainable reaction media, in synthetic applications. 

Why I applied for this particular SPP role: Throughout my academic life I have taken different responsibilities, such as being course rep, committee member of a society, outreach leader, and GTA. Moreover, I have two years of industrial experience as an R&D chemist.  I believe that I can use these experiences and what I have learned from them to have a positive impact on the programme. 

Why I think professional development training is important: I think it is important to develop skills needed to optimise the way we organise our time and our work in order to be both better researchers and professionals, and the courses offered by the Graduate School are a great aid for students in this respect.
