We are committed to making our campuses as sustainable as possible

Sustainability Strategy 2021–2026

The societal, economic and technological consequences of the UK government’s target of net zero carbon emissions by 2050 cannot be overstated. Universities like Imperial must step up to provide the solutions, collaborations and skills necessary to help us get there, while also working to make society fair and equitable. Our new Strategy outlines how we plan to address these environmental challenges to create a sustainable university for the future and achieve carbon neutrality by 2040.

About the Strategy

Sustainability will shape Imperial’s plans and activities at all levels and across all campuses. The Strategy has been created to ensure that we turn this notion into reality, and set a credible roadmap for its delivery.
