Silwood Park hosts several long-term field studies that help us to understand the impact of human disturbance and environmental change in terrestrial and freshwater ecosystems. They are a powerful tool to assess how biodiversity, species interactions and ecosystem services are changing and to find solutions that mitigate our impact. Our research includes the environmental impacts of pollution, global warming, over-fertilization, soil disturbance and loss of species.
