Disability History Month (DHM) runs from 16 November to 16 December 2023 and this year’s theme is disability, children and youth. Disability History Month is supported by a wide range of disability groups, unions and voluntary organisations, and aims to promote disabled people's rights and their struggle for equality now and in the past.

Wednesday 29 November, Imperial College Union is hosting an event on Unveiling the Past, Shaping the Future: Disability History Panel.

Tuesday 12 December, the Department of Infectious Disease has organised a special seminar on 'Living with viruses: the health impacts of chronic diseases'

Communications campaigns

The 2023 communications campaign for Disability History Month includes profiles of staff and students discussing their experience of adjustments and other support at Imperial, research and initiatives that are improving the lives and experiences of disabled people, and tips on how to make digital and physical material accessible for everyone.
