About this event

Imperial 600 is proud to host Professor Helen Ward, Director of Education for the Imperial College School of Public Health who is an internationally recognised researcher on the epidemiology and control of sexually transmitted infections and HIV, along with the following experts for a panel that will look at the global state of HIV/AIDS and the case for public support for PreP – and particularly in the United Kingdom:

 Michael Brady, National Advisor for LGBT Health at NHS England, Medical Director of THT and a Sexual Health and HIV consultant at Kings College Hospital. In his role at NHS England Michael works to address health inequalities for LGBT+ individuals.

 Kate Nambiar, A doctor and trans woman, she has worked in the NHS since 1999 and is a passionate advocate for the equal access to quality healthcare for trans people, in the UK and globally.

 Flav Coukan, Imperial PhD student, expert in PrEP access in the UK, and previously an analyst on the PrEP access trials.

Join us for an update on everything you need to know about the global fight against HIV/AIDS, and how Imperial College London is engaging with key stakeholders like the NHS in the UK, and others globally, to help the LGBTQ+ community proactively manage this important public health issue.
