Eat the World: Connecting through Food – Imperial As One Network Event

Imperial As One warmly invites you to attend Eat the World: Connecting through Food, an event dedicated to celebrating diversity through the art of cooking and storytelling.  There will be plenty of food and opportunities to connect with each other over a delicious lunch!

Date: Wednesday 5 June
Time: 12-2pm
Location: Room 301D/E, Royal School of Mines, South Kensington campus (accessible by stairs and lift)

The first 15 registrants will receive a free gift from our selection of cookbooks (including Desified, Gok Cooks Chinese, Original Flava, Colombiana and more)!  Cookbooks will be distributed during the event only.  Please register here.

We invite you to bring a dish from your culture to share at the event.  Whether it’s a cherished family recipe passed down through generations or a favorite street food from your homeland, every dish tells a story.  If you are unable to bring a dish, we still hope you can join us.  Attendees will vote on their favourite dishes/stories and prizes will be awarded to the top 3 dishes.  Prizes include:

  • A lunch with our Executive Sponsor, Prof Mary Ryan
  • A cooking class with Migrateful, an organisation that celebrates refugees and migrants by supporting them to run their own cooking classes
  • A gourmet, sustainable food hamper from Social Supermarket

Food has a remarkable ability to transcend barriers and bring people together.  In addition to indulging in delicious food, we encourage you to share the stories behind your dishes.

Eat the World is more than just a meal – it’s an opportunity to forge connections, build bridges, and celebrate the diversity that enriches our community!

Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or need further information.
