Welcome to the Generative AI Hub, a specially developed resource for Imperial's education community to catch up on the latest developments in the use of generative artificial intelligence across our learning environments.

Several natural language processing models have come to prominence, such as Microsoft Copilot (which all Imperial staff and students have access to), ChatGPT and DeepSeek. These models demonstrate a huge step forward in accessible forms of generative AI which will develop substantially and quickly in the years to come. In fact, they will likely grow to become a tool we use frequently in our everyday lives.

For staff and students, these generative AI models present both opportunities to further improve the quality of our teaching and assessment, as well as various challenges. Knowledge, transparency, and innovation will be key principles driving Imperial's successful interaction with generative AI, as well as debates on and off our campuses about how best it can be applied to real-world scenarios.

Regularly updated resources are available below for use by any member of Imperial staff engaged in teaching students.
