This page will develop further as we write more about the project and develop the research and evaluation projects as we move into the second year of the project.

Writing

A series of blog posts on the project has been started on the Asociation of Learning Technologists blog.

  • The first published in January discusses generating inclusive images to represent students.
  • The second publish in July discusses the langauge used in developing and delivering inclusive digital assets.
  • The third published in September discusses how the personae can be used to highlight and discuss disability, visible or otherwise.

A piece on stereotypes based on prior research and developed to aid the project development was published on the WonkHE blog in June.

Conferences

Imperial College Talking Teaching  28th November 2024 - presentation of the project so far and the art work that has been developed. The AIP presentation starts at the half way point of recording 1.

A presentation on using inclusive personae in curricula was presented at the UEL teaching symposium in January 2024

The StudentShapers project on auditing curricula for inclusive practice was presented as a poster at the Advance HE EDI conference in March.

Two presentations on the project were delivered at the RAISE conference in September 2024. One presentation in collaboration with a colleague at the University of Manchester working on more inclusive images for medicine and human anatomy.
