Creating a flourishing outdoor space to relax and meet

Subscribe to Mailing List for details of the gardening events and how to get involved.

'The Garden Club' meets on Wednesdays in term time 14.30-15.30 in the garden behind the Chaplaincy, 15 Prince's Gardens (or indoor seed sowing in wet weather!).  Each session has plenty of time for tea drinking and as much or as little gardening as you wish to do!

As part of our work on health and wellbeing we are creating a flourishing outdoor space to relax and meet.

Since autumn 2021 students and staff have created a small flower and herb garden. The aim is to make a fruitful space for gatherings or quiet contemplation.

We have all heard of the research about how being outside and having contact with plants can promote health and well-being. Getting our hands dirty turns out to be good for us!

We have had help from a great group of students from the Centre for Environmental Policy and the ICU Environmental Society we have made a good start.

We are looking for new supporters and we need your help so the garden keeps growing!

Contact Chaplaincy if you would like to get involved, help at other times, or donate plants or pots. Follow us on Instagram for news about the garden.
