This short course will help you to understand the concept of assessing a child and enabling them to achieve their optimal health. The overall aim is to provide good understanding of factors that can optimise paediatric health trajectories. This includes the importance of nutrition in regulating growth and development throughout the course of childhood, as well as the influence of epigenetics and social factors.
The importance of good sleep health will be discussed along with an overview of common sleep problems and their consequences. Sleep investigations and management strategies will be introduced.
The course is part of a range of short courses spread throughout the academic year which are available both to students who are enrolled on the MSc Applied Paediatrics course and as stand-alone CPD programmes for all healthcare professionals.
