This short course will build on your existing cardiac embryology, physiology and morphology to develop your skills and awareness to critically evaluate congenital and acquired paediatric heart disease and how those conditions are managed. This course will also provide you with a focused overview of research methods and innovative strategies used in the diagnosis and management of children with cardiac disease.
Topics covered will include:
- Neonatal Cardiology / Congenital Heart Disease
- Cardiomyopathies
- Acquired heart disease
- Rhythm abnormalities
- Innovations in Paediatric cardiology
- Longer term outcomes
The course is part of a range of short courses spread throughout the academic year which are available both to students who are enrolled on the MSc Applied Paediatrics course and as stand-alone CPD programmes for all healthcare professionals.
