Students and staff at White City and staff at Hammersmith are being offered discounted access to the Westway Sports and Fitness Centre. The Centre is around a 15-minute walk away from the White City Campus and has a 100-station gym and exercise studio, large climbing wall, tennis courts and artificial floodlit football pitches. For students, there will be an annual membership fee of £65, which runs from 1 September to 31 August. Staff will be offered the monthly rate advertised by Westway.
Students who sign up for services at the Westway Sports and Fitness Centre will also be able to use the swimming pool at the Imperial-run Ethos Centre at South Kensington (there is no swimming pool at the Westway Sports and Fitness Centre).
Students who opt to register for the Westway membership will be unable to use the Ethos gym or SW7 inclusive of the membership.

How to join
If you are staff working at White City and Hammersmith Campuses, you will be able to access a gym membership at the Westway Sports Centre. If you opt to take out the Westway membership, you will only be able to access the Ethos gym and swimming pool by registering for a free Staff Basic membership and then either accessing the pay-as-you-go option (gym or swim) or purchasing a monthly swim bolt-on.
Registering for a membership:
Step 1: Call the Westway membership team on 0208 969 0992.
Step 2: Visit Westway Sports Centre (1 Crowthorne Road, W10 6RP). You will need to provide proof of working at Imperial (White City Campus) along with your account number and sort code.
Step 3: If you would like access to the Ethos swimming pool please register online for a free Staff Basic membership and book a pay-as-you-go session or purchase a monthly swim bolt-on. To access the Ethos gym please register online for a free Staff Basic membership and book a pay-as-you-go session.
Booking and Cancellation Information
Due to an an ongoing issue with users booking sessions and then not attending without cancelling beforehand, we have introduced a non-cancellation penalty. Any members who miss multiple sessions within a 7-day period will have their booking ability suspended for the following 7 days. Any pre-booked sessions for this timeframe will be cancelled and fully refunded.
Please note: all sessions can be cancelled up until they are due to start via MyLeisureHub. Pay-as-you go members can cancel via ASK (Imperial Staff and Students) or by emailing move@imperial.ac.uk (Other Members).
