Whatever your experience level, our classes are designed to be a fun and engaging way of enjoying exercise in a more organised setting. Join our team of experts in one of our wide range of classes, running seven days a week.

Classes are a small additional fee on top of our standard memberships, although you can enjoy unlimited access with one of our bolt-ons.

Strength

BODYPUMP

BODYPUMP is a fast-paced, barbell-based workout that uses a combination of motivating music and scientifically proven moves to help you get lean, toned and fit.

CORE

CORE is a science-backed core workout designed to strengthen, tone, and stabilize the muscles of your torso, glutes, and lower back while improving balance and injury prevention.

Learn to lift

Come into SW7 with one of the Active Lifestyles Team as we take you through the basic technique of the most common weightlifting exercises from Bench Press to Squatting, we’ll have you leaving these sessions equipped with the knowledge to step into the main gym and complete basic workouts to build your strength!

SW7 Kettlebells

This kettlebell workout targets the entire body. As the name suggests, our instructors will be asking you to use kettlebells for every single exercise. This is a great class to learn about the value of using versatile pieces of equipment. If you attend regularly, you will be confident that you can get a great workout in wherever you are in the world.

BODYATTACK

BODYATTACK is a high-energy fitness class that combines athletic movements like running, lunging and jumping with strength exercises like push ups and squats

Zumba

This fun aerobic fitness program featuring movements inspired by various styles of Latin American dance will give you a full body workout whilst having fun

LBT develops core strength as your abdominal and back extensors work to stabilise your body in each position to give you a sleeker, more toned lower body

Boxing gloves

BoxFit

BoxFit is our brand new Boxing Class in SW7, we utilise the boxing bags, pads and gloves to take you through Boxing combinations and Boxing Conditioning to get you fighting fit!

High Intensity

SW7 Total Body Blitz

SW7 Total Body Blitz is a short and sharp full body workout that will utilise resistance, bodyweight and cardiovascular exercises to give you the best possible workout in a short period of time. The instructor will have a license to utilise HIIT, circuit and chipper style workouts focusing on multi-joint exercises to ensure you leave the gym with a 'total body blitz'

Mind & Body

Pilates

A fantastic dynamic full body stretch and deep core workout which hones in on postural muscle groups and develops overall toning

Barre

Barre focuses on strengthening and tightening the hips, glutes, thighs, and core—while improving posture. The truth is, barre workouts are hard. The challenge of this class is that it target muscles in specific ways that aren't necessarily used in everyday movement

Mind and body

Vinyasa Flow Yoga

Vinyasa is a style of Yoga characterised by stringing postures together so that you move from one to another seamlessly, using breath. This class is the essential body and mind experience

Yoga

This class is the essential body and mind experience. Our Yoga classes utilise a powerful mix of Astanga movements as well as gentler Hatha stretches and relaxation techniques

Booking and Cancellation Information

Due to an an ongoing issue with users booking sessions and then not attending without cancelling beforehand, we have introduced a non-cancellation penalty. Any members who miss multiple sessions within a 7-day period will have their booking ability suspended for the following 7 days. Any pre-booked sessions for this timeframe will be cancelled and fully refunded.

Please note: all sessions can be cancelled up until they are due to start via MyLeisureHub. Pay-as-you go members can cancel via ASK (Imperial Staff and Students) or by emailing move@imperial.ac.uk (Other Members).
