Urgent and Emergency Help

Use the information below to get the fastest help in an urgent or emergency situation - if you or someone else is in immediate danger, at risk of harm or need urgent medical attention.

On Campus Off Campus

On Campus

If you are on a College campus the quickest way to get help in an emergency is to contact the Campus Security team. The contact numbers for each campus can be found on the Campus Security pages.
If emergency services (police, ambulance) are needed the Security team will contact them and guide them to your location.
You can also use the Safe Zone App to access urgent help - download from Campus Security pages.
Campus Security are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Off Campus

If you are not on campus and need urgent help in an emergency you can call 999 from any phone to contact the Emergency Services - eg police and ambulance.

Halls and Havens

Halls of Residence

In Imperial College Halls of Residences you can contact the Duty Warden from 6pm - 8am weekdays, and all weekend.

Sexual Assault Referral Centres

Sexual Assault Referral Centres (SARCs) provide urgent and confidential medical care and practical advice following rape and sexual assault.
They can be contacted for help if you do not want to contact the emergency services. They are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
SARCs provide
- Medical care for injuries
- Pregnancy and STI tests
- Forensic medical examination to collect forensic evidence whether or not you decide to report to the police
- Help to access specialist supportive services
