Course overview
Gain new skills as a future leader to set the agenda and take on challenging global roles in the health and healthcare ecosystem, whether in private industry, government, international organisations, or health service providers.
Due to the complex and fast-evolving nature of the determinants of health and associated global challenges, our MSc Global Health Management (previously MSc International Health Management) adopts an interdisciplinary approach for 2024, going beyond traditional training on healthcare management.
The programme invites you to consider a wide range of interrelated factors such as innovation and technology, socioeconomic and environmental factors, policymaking, sustainability and data and analytics to evolve the future of health and healthcare.
You also have the option to complete a four-six month work placement (internship) as part of your programme, extending the programme to 16 months and graduating with 120 ECTS. Please note that additional tuition fees apply.

Pre-study modules
Before the programme begins you will be expected to complete some online pre-study modules which are delivered through The Hub, Imperial College Business School’s virtual learning environment.
These modules are designed to give you a basic knowledge of areas which will be covered by the programme throughout the academic year.
Induction week
Your MSc Global Health Management induction will be spent at our South Kensington campus in London, where you will meet with the rest of your cohort, faculty, and programme staff.
You will study 6 core modules across the year (September to July), starting with a focus on health and leadership specific modules common to all concentrations. You will them move onto further core training in your chosen concentration.

If you wish to take a longer (four-six month) internship as part of your programme, you can take an extended work placement with the approval of the Academic Director. This is particularly relevant for (but not exclusive to) internships in France, Germany, and other European countries that require students to have student status for the duration of their internships. Please note that additional tuition fees apply.
