Eligibility criteria
To be considered for this scholarship, candidates must:
- Have an offer of admission on a Bioengineering Master’s course (MSc or MRes) for study in Autumn 2025 by Thursday 1 May 2025.
- Be a domiciled student in the UK, including Scotland, Wales, or Northern Ireland, with home fee status
- Not previously completed a Master’s degree (including an integrated Master’s) or a PhD at Imperial or any other institution.
- Been in receipt of a maintenance grant or a higher-rate maintenance loan during undergraduate studies
- Be eligible to apply for a Master’s student loan towards cost of tuition fees - Master's Loan: Overview - GOV.UK
Please note: This scholarship is not available to continuing students.

Receive an offer of a place for 2025 entry by the scholarship deadline of Thursday 1 May 2025.
Firmly accept the offer by the relevant deadline.
Complete our Scholarship application form by the deadline of Monday 2 June 2025.
Additional information
Outcome of Award: The successful candidates will be notified by email no later than 31 July 2025.
This award is for students starting in the academic year 2025-26 and cannot be deferred or transferred. All scholarships are awarded subject to students accepting award Terms and Conditions.
If you have not heard from us by 31 July, please assume you have been unsuccessful in your application.
