Eligibility criteria

To be eligible, candidates must have attained the conditions below by Friday, 23rd May 2025:

  • Have an offer of admissions from the College to study a three-year or four-year full-time undergraduate course in the designated Departments or School listed below starting in autumn 2025;
    • Chemical Engineering
    • Computing
    • Dyson School of Design Engineering
    • Mechanical Engineering
  • Possess an Overseas fee status;
  • Being Bulgarian nationality;
  • Being educated at a state funded high school in Bulgaria;
  • The household income of £70,000 or under per year

Please note: This scholarship is not available to continuing students.

Application process

To apply for this scholarship, applicants need to complete the online application at Qualtrics form and have an offer to study by 11:59pm (UK local time), Friday, 23rd May 2025. 

In the application, you are required to write and upload a personal statement in PDF format with the guidelines below:

  • Explain your personal situation and the barriers you have faced in continuing your education.
  • Provide some information about your family's financial income and circumstances that you would like to make us aware of, or would like us to take into consideration when assessing your financial need. 
  • Will you have other means to financially support yourself at Imperial other than this scholarship?

What happens next:

Applicants who meet the above conditions will be ranked by the Faculty of Engineering based on their statement, together with their UCAS application. The successful candidates shall be notified by Thursday, 31st July 2025.
