Art Fellowship and Awards

The Blyth Art Fellowship and Awards provides creative Fine Art support for current Imperial students. The Fellowship provision runs across an academic year with tailored mentoring sessions and a bursary. The Art Awards offer a one-off mentoring session and a small bursary.

Outstanding applicants who are unsuccessful with the Fellowship submission will be put forward for an Arts Award.

Fellowships and Arts Awards will take place the  academic year following the interviews.

The Blyth Art Fellowship

The winner of the Fellowship will receive the following support:

  • Four 1 hour, 1:1 mentoring sessions with a professional artist
  • materials bursary of £500 (Art Vouchers) for experimentation/ to make new work.
  • an annual membership Tate Card
  • free subscription to Blyth Drawing evening classes,

(9 consecutive evening classes)

Duration: 1 academic year

Blyth Art Awards

The Blyth Art Awards are gifted to current Imperial students to help develop a current Fine Art Practice

Previous Art Awards have included:

  • 1 hour 1:1 mentoring tutorial with a professional artist
  • Materials bursary of £100 for experimentation/ to make new work.
  • Materials bursary of £50 (Art vouchers) for experimentation/ to make new work.
  • A combination of material and tutorial support

 Duration: Support in Autumn Term

 

Eligibility for the Fellowship and Art Award:

  • Current Undergraduate and Postgraduate

(Excluding final year students)

  • To have an active Fine Art practice
  • To be able to commit to the 22hrs taught sessions
  • To be able to commit a number hours each week to making your artwork
