The collaboration between the DSI and Thomson Reuters aims to drive faster innovation in FinTech and RegTech industries through collaborative research projects.

Through joint research between the Imperial College and Thomson Reuters, the partnership plans to advance FinTech and RegTech innovation. Collaborative research projects will harness latest data science techniques to solve global big data challenges impacting financial and legal professionals. The goal is to solve global big data challeges impacting financial and legal professionals. Thomson Reuters will be contributing financial market data and legal expertise to the projects, as well as data management and machine learning expertise to the visualization studio. This partnership will create a global ecosystem whereby academics, financial markets institutions, and technology firms can collaborate to tackle FinTech issues such as supply chain risk, financial risk management, real-time data analysis and RegTech issues such as the impact of regulation.
