Eligibility criteria

The Anas M Tannir scholarship is open to applicants who meet the following conditions by the deadline of 11:59 pm (UK local time) on Friday, 19 April 2024:  
  • Have a disability as defined at section 6 of the Equality Act 2010
  • Have an offer of admission from the College to study a full-time three-year or four-year undergraduate course commencing in October 2024 in the Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Natural Sciences, Faculty of Medicine or Imperial College Business School
  • Demonstrate exceptional academic merit and/or potential
A disability is defined as a physical or mental impairment that has a substantial and long-term adverse effect on a person's ability to carry out normal day-to-day activities. Examples include:
  • Physical impairment
  • Vision impairment/Blind
  • Hearing impairment/Deaf
  • Specific Learning Difficulty e.g., Dyslexia, Dyspraxia
  • Learning or intellectual disability
  • Neurodivergence or neurological disorder
The successful candidate will be asked to confidentially provide evidence confirming their disability.

Please note: This scholarship is not available to continuing students.

How to apply:
  1. Apply and have an offer of admission from the College to study a full-time three or four year undergraduate course commencing in October 2024 by 11:59pm (UK local time) on Friday 19 April 2024
  2. Complete a scholarship application form by 11:59pm (UK local time) on Friday 19 April 2024
Applicants will be ranked per academic merit and/or potential based on their UCAS application. The successful candidate will be asked to confidentially provide evidence confirming their disability.

The successful candidate will be notified by 31 July 2024.
