A celebration of cultural diversity at Imperial

Shifting the Lens is a series celebrating staff and students from minority ethnic backgrounds at Imperial.
 
Staff and students from across the College have opened up about their culture and heritage, giving an insight into their lives outside of the College and sharing their views on the different ways Imperial can create a more inclusive environment. 
 
Hear from staff and students below as part of our 2023 campaign. You can also look back and read profiles from 2022, 2021 and 2020.
 
The campaign was created by a project team on the 2019 IMPACT talent development programme for minority ethnic staff: Grace Adeyemi, Christopher Bamikole, Aleisha Miller and Martha Salhotra. If you have any questions about the series please email the Internal Communications team. 
 

Shifting the Lens exhibition, 1 - 8 November 2023

Visit the Shifting the Lens exhibition, 1-8 November, main entrance, South Kensignton campus and discover the stories of staff and students who have taken part in Shifting the Lens over the last few years. 
 

Open to all, visitors can share their own story by sending in photos and comments as part of the exhibition. You can also give your feedback on the exhibiton. 

As part of the exhibition, we caught up with some of the participants who had taken part over the years to find out where they are now, their reflections on their original interview, and their hopes for the future. Read the full piece.
