The Imperial College Boathouse is located on the Putney Embankment overlooking the River Thames. It has been home to the Imperial College Boat Club since 1938.

The convenience of its riverside location makes it easy to fit rowing practice around your studies, while on-site gym, physiotherapy and massage services help you stay in top shape.

Students are chosen to live at the Putney Boathouse based on their rowing ability. The accommodation is specifically for elite Imperial rowing athletes and will be reviewed termly. We do not accept applications for this residence.

Room types and rents

The Putney Boathouse offers self-catered single study room accommodation for 6 students. Rent includes utility bills, internet access, Insurance, maintenance, communal cleaning and a contribution to the halls activity fund.
