Kemp Porter Buildings is our newest halls of residence, located in North Acton.

Comprised of almost 600 bespoke student rooms arranged in cluster flats each with its own kitchen - and complimented by dedicated common room areas and outdoor spaces -  the new community provides an unparalleled first year environment. Rising to 30 storeys, many kitchens and bedrooms enjoy spectacular views of central London and beyond. Located only a two minute walk from North Acton station (Central Line), Kemp Porter Buildings enjoys proximity to other student developments across North Acton as well as easy transport links to campus.

Note to applicants for 2024-25 and 2025-26: The area around North Acton is undergoing significant development, including an area of construction next to Kemp Porter. We work closely with developers to ensure disruption is kept to a minimum, but you should anticipate some level of noise and construction traffic at times.

Pilot offer for first-year students

Following recent rent review discussions with the Student Union, we are trialling a 51-week licence option for first-year students in 2025/26. This pilot is designed to offer greater flexibility for those who require accommodation beyond the standard academic year.

As part of this trial, we have proposed a £5 per week discount for students opting for a 51-week licence. Once confirmed, this discount will be applied as a credit to the Accommodation session 4 invoice. To be eligible, you must select a room in Kemp Porter among your room preferences and choose the 51-week licence option.

Please note: If you select this option and are allocated a 51-week licence, you will be committing to this choice and will not be able to change to a shorter contract mid-way through the year.
