The PFDC is here to support your career planning and help you make positive well-informed steps towards the career path you want to pursue, irrespective of your final decisions, or your reasons for making them.

Our skills development workshops and courses, tip sheets, online guidance and 1-2-1 support will help you as you transition to the next stage of your career. To support you as you develop your career, you have 10 days per year of development time written into your contract.

If you plan to follow an academic career path, your options include doing another postdoc, applying for a fellowship or becoming a lecturer. Our support includes bespoke guidance and resources to help you succeed in academia.
