The Chairman of the world’s largest IT and consulting services company
shared his experiences and thoughts on the company’s success as he
delivered a speech in honour of IBM’s centennial.
Brittin attracted a full house when he spoke about Google’s ongoing
commitment to increasing online search speed and presented the latest
innovations in Google’s mobile search capabilities.
Manningham-Buller shared insights from her career, including leading
Britain’s Security Service (MI5) between 2002 and 2007. She is now Chair of
Imperial College’s Court and Council, alongside other roles which include
being a cross-bench Life Peer.
Armitt shared the vision, strategy and journey in transforming the post-
industrial landscape of East London into not only a world class Olympic
competition facility for the London 2012 Games, but also an enduring
structural and socio-economic legacy.
Daisley explained that Twitter is a business based on the notion that simplicity
sticks in the mind and that the power of brevity is the defining aspect of
Twitter, which experiences 400 million tweets a day.
These lectures are organised by the Business School events team and
are open to all. Many of the lectures are available to listen to online.
