Texas as a Corporate IT System Integration Manager
responsible for Enterprise Application Development
and Support across Windows and iSeries platforms.
My MBA provided me with a platform to appreciate
the broader business value of what I do and provide
solutions that reflect such. I have been here since
January 2012.

Weekday Executive MBA 2010
Since leaving the Business School in the summer
of 2010, I left Imperial Innovations and I have set
up my own Financial PR/communications company
in London. I am now the UK Managing Director of
Spotlight Financial Marketing. The firm was New
York based, and was looking for an individual to
set up and drive a new London office. Spotlight
Financial Marketing is well known in New York
and was seeking an MBA who could establish the
business in London, write a business plan, spread
the word around London and build clients in the
industry. The key point here is that I got the job over
other MBA candidates from rival schools. And why?
Imperial has a reputation for producing MBAs who
have an entrepreneurial element to their teaching.
My interviewers noted this, and it was one of the
key reasons why I got the job, because they wanted
someone to start up and grow the business, not just
be a number cruncher. The project has not been an
easy task, but without the MBA I would not have had
the confidence to even consider a role like this.
We have been operational since April, and have
made significant progress with both financial
technology and services players in the City. We
will be holding our first major even in the City in
November 2012, to which I will be the Chair and host.

I recently took part in Sky 1’s ‘The Angel’ TV show and
won! I have now joined forces with John Caudwell,
billionaire founder of Phones4U, who will be investing
£100,000 in my company, Market Mavens, a
recruitment agency for business school graduates.
Namita Pandey
Full-Time MBA 2011
I am joining Ericsson as Marketing Manager, which
is also part of their Excellerate global leadership
program. I will be moving to Sweden.
