The seven member group travelled to the Les Écrins are of the French Alps to tackle mountaineering and multipitch rock climbing objectives. Their goals were to improve ropework, climbing and route finding, increase their experience of Alpine weather and exposure and experience the natural beauty and culture of the environment. Over 18 days in September 2021 the group accomplished ascents of a range of objectives. The venture allowed the team to share knowledge about climbing techniques, such as simuling and taking coils, and mountaineering skills, such as glacier rescue and mixed climbing. The experience was intended to prepare them for bigger and more technical future objectives.
