“Our aim is to provide an opportunity for business
graduates with experience of economics and
strategy to develop their analytical skills and
their strategic thinking. Our emphasis throughout
is to ensure that students develop an analytical
toolkit which can be effectively applied to a wide
variety of situations,” explains Dr Anjali Bakhru,
Programme Director.
The course has proved very popular, with a waiting
list introduced when applications hit approximately
700 for the 75 places available.
Executive Education news
Our
team successfully
delivered the Open Enrolment Programme
‘Managing the Strategic Value of Innovation’
in November 2011 and June 2012. Our Custom
Executive Education programmes also continue to
grow, and new clients this year include Pruhealth,
Merck and Vodafone.
We have continued to successfully deliver
Executive Education programmes for high profile
clients both in the UK and overseas. Our clients
include IBM, Laing O’Rourke, Finmeccanica,
Telefonica and Total. At the request of one of our
major clients, we also partnered with Columbia
Business School in New York to deliver a global
programme.
We have been approached by two leading
universities (national and international) to
develop programmes for their senior management
and continue to deliver a customised programme
for the Royal Society, now in its fifth year.
Students
A new pilot scheme,
, aimed at
undergraduates at Imperial College was launched
in February 2012. In a series of master classes
run by the Business School, students were given
the chance to get to grips with current business
issues and practices as a way to enhance their
employability and broaden their knowledge. The
classes were incredibly popular with places being
snapped up within hours of registration opening.
